Location: Swift Current, Saskatchewan
The Human Resources Manager reports directly to the General Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
General:
- Participates as a member of the nine-person Executive Team.
- Provides support to the General Manager as a resource, facilitator, analyst, advisor and leader.
- Oversees project planning and training for implementation of 5S – Lean Manufacturing and other continuous improvement tools.
Human Resources:
- Oversees recruitment, orientation and training.
- Assumes responsibility for Employee Relations in all company locations.
- Leads other HR management functions such as: benefits administration, employee performance/promotion/discipline/discharge and policy setting.
The Person:
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Business with a concentration in Human Resources.
- Solid understanding of 5S - Lean Management techniques (or a similar quality control system).
Experience
- Five (5)+ years of progressive management experience.
- Hands-on experience with computer systems and applications.
- Proven leadership, supervisory and team building strengths.
- Able to thrive and provide leadership in a complex and demanding manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of “what impacts a business”.
- Proven track record of coaching and mentoring supervisors to be strong leaders, and developing skills of the team and training others.
- Experience in manufacturing is important.

Compensation
