Location: Kitchener, Waterloo or Montreal, Quebec
We have an immediate opening for an energetic, motivated individual to join the product management team of one of the fastest growing Canadian-owned property and casualty insurance companies in Canada. Reporting to the Personal Lines Products and Pricing Manager, you are responsible for managing all phases of new product development and ongoing product management processes for all personal lines products. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the product, demographic, and competitive research process required to support ongoing product management and development initiatives. As part of the product management and development process, the incumbent is also responsible for recommending and defining underwriting and risk classification criteria along with product and coverage design to achieve corporate profitability and production goals.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide business and underwriting consulting leadership to Head Office, Regional and Divisional stakeholders.
- Facilitate discussions with Regional and Division Management Team, IT and other internal stakeholders.
- Provide direction, coaching, mentoring and support to Product and Pricing Analysts reporting to this position.
- Lead and develop processes to streamline and improve the product review process to improve profitability, capitalize on business opportunities and increase speed to market
- Lead and develop processes to streamline and improve the effectiveness of our competitive and market research.
- Lead the project teams to support product and rate reviews to achieve corporate growth and profitability objectives.
- Monitor the performance of the portfolio against the operational plans and identify and execute strategies to improve operating results.
- Correspond with regulatory bodies as required.

Qualifications:
- University degree or a college diploma or the CIP designation.
- 3 years of property & casualty insurance experience required
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous insurance product management experience
